Singapore – 29th January 2024 – Whale TV, a leading TV OS maker, today announced the appointment of Dr. Jack Q. Gao as Chairman of the Whale TV Group. Dr. Gao was appointed in 2023 as Chairman of Whale TV’s Global Strategy Committee and will expand his role this year to become the Chairman of the Whale TV Group. In his new role Dr. Gao will focus on building and scaling the organization to further drive international growth.

Dr. Gao has more than 30 years of global experience in tech, media and venture capital. Prior to joining Whale TV Dr. Gao held various executive positions such as President of Microsoft China, Sr. Corporate Vice President of News Corporation, Partner of Walden International (Venture Capital Fund), Interim CEO of Hollywood Legendary Pictures, Leading Board Director of AMC Entertainment, CEO of the International Operations of Wanda Culture Group and member of the Board of Trustees of American Film Institute (AFI).
