Responsibilities

1. Field Testing Execution:

- Conduct field testing for TV LiveTV functionalities, including but not limited to:

 - Live channel playback (resolution, fluency, audio-video synchronization, etc.)

 - Time-shift and replay functionality

 - Interactive features

- Execute test cases, document test results, and submit defect reports, tracking the progress of issue resolution.

2. Test Case Development:

- Participate in the creation and review of test cases to enhance the testing framework.

- Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

3. Technical Support:

- Assist developers in identifying and resolving issues, providing technical support as needed.

- Analyze and troubleshoot field-related problems, ensuring smooth operation of LiveTV features.

- Willingness to travel frequently to attend industry events and meet with stakeholders.

4. Market and Competitor Analysis:

- Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to identify potential improvements in LiveTV functionalities.

- Stay updated with regional broadcasting standards and regulations that may impact LiveTV performance.

5. Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

- Monitor the performance and usage of LiveTV features, gathering user feedback for continuous improvement.

- Prepare regular reports on testing progress, defect status, and overall feature performance.

Requirements

1. Educational Background and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.

- 1+ years of experience in TV or set-top box testing, with a focus on LiveTV field testing preferred.

2. Technical Skills:

- Familiarity with TV or set-top box architecture and basic principles.

- Proficient in common testing methodologies and tools (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing, packet capture tools).

- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and adb or Shell scripting.

- Understanding of digital TV standards and protocols is a plus.

- Experience with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.

3. Soft Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

4. Industry Knowledge:

- Knowledge of the TV broadcasting ecosystem, including key players and market trends.

- Willingness to travel for field testing and industry events as required.
