As Business Development Manager for APAC, you are the linking pin between our content providers, agencies and internal teams at Whale TV.
Your responsibilities include:
• APAC Smart TV content business development, partner engagement and support
• Identifying and evaluating content providers and application developers to onboard relevant streaming services on to our Smart TV platform
• Designing a business model and legal conditions to form strategic partnerships with content providers and create exciting business opportunities for new content providers to join
• Contract negotiation with content providers
• Partnership management with existing content providers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with ad buyers and agencies to drive platform revenue growth.
• Defining Smart TV content technology roadmap and requirements
• Maintaining the right content (prefill, Ads, Apps) on the TVs and Data reporting and analysis on Apps/Content usage and drive the user activation with content partners
• Funnelling all input from the field regarding apps and Smart TV features, and feed this back to the internal teams within Whale TV
• Master Degree in Business Administration, International Business Management, Marketing or similar
• 5-7 years of Smart TV Apps/content experience in a business development position
• Detailed understanding of all smart TV technologies and adjacent spaces
• Professional knowledge of Smart TV Trend/Business Development/App Content/Partnership Management
• The ability to engage with content partners and on-board the services on Smart TV for timely deliverables
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Great negotiation skills to finalize commercial deals with partners
• Experience in partnership management
• Ability to identify opportunities and get creative to get the deal done
• Good communications skill in English is a must, a 2nd APAC an language is a plus
